It is my distinct pleasure to join the Division of Medical Quality Assurance (MQA) in presenting its 2021-2022 Annual Report and Long-Range Plan. As the state’s leading advocate for wellness and disease prevention, I applaud the efforts of MQA and the regulatory boards and councils for their role in delivering safe, reliable health care services to the residents of Florida. From evaluating potential licensees to ensure competency and establishing and enforcing health care standards, to providing reliable and accurate information to health care consumers, practitioners, facilities, and regulatory bodies, MQA continues to expedite licenses and inspections so health care practitioners can get to work. Together, MQA and the boards and councils protect and promote the health of all people in Florida by maintaining standards of care that ensure safe, reliable health care services for the citizens of Florida.
